    • January 17, 2011 10:57 pm

Yup, they featured in my V-tunes. This is the annual countdown ! 😀

  2. January 17, 2011 12:50 am

you are always welcome Bro.. 🙂 Glad you liked it.. else you would have cursed me make you hear them 😀 😀

No ‘Naan Mahan alla’ in Tamil 😦 😦 It has real good songs…

Others I accept 🙂 you didn’t mentioned ‘Then Merku Paruvakaatru’ anywhere.. Didn’t you liked them???

    • January 17, 2011 10:59 pm

again, thanks for letting me know 🙂

I liked only Iragai pole in NMA. But it was usual Yuvan and only the first lines were really good.

Oh, I liked Thenmerkku too, but somehow I couldnt bring it down in the countdown. I think from now on, I should come up with a list of top 5 album that didnt make it up for the top 10, what say ? 😀

      • January 18, 2011 3:00 am

Surely… but at least the most favorite ones in one song wonders… 😀 😀

  3. January 17, 2011 7:45 am

Terribly disconnected from music, which means disconnected from life! 😦

    • January 17, 2011 11:00 pm

Hmmm….but you keep listening to English tracks, if I am not wrong ! 😀

  4. January 17, 2011 10:00 am

liked the list.. but no mention of “I hate love stories” 😦 That was my fav album this yr.. all the songs were good

    • January 17, 2011 11:01 pm

I didnt quite like it; Vishal-shekhar I felt was getting too repetitive 😀

*god, oh god, pls let me NOT find it in th list when i go back and check again* 😀

    • January 17, 2011 11:06 pm

Anjaana Anjaani released way back in August and the songs of that album were mentioned in V-tunes too. This is a countdown of my fav albums that released in 2010.

Sigh ! when will people actually read posts ! 😉

  7. January 17, 2011 5:25 pm

I know i know only one telugu song 😀 😀

  8. January 17, 2011 5:28 pm

I am so clueless at what to say to this post 🙂

    • January 17, 2011 11:08 pm

Dont worry, I have a solution. Thought of implementing it for this, but I was too late ! 😀

  9. January 17, 2011 9:54 pm

Admissions Open ? which movie was that,eh ?

And I second Smithu ..what do we comment on these posts of yours Vimmu ? 😀

    • January 17, 2011 11:09 pm

yeah, theres a movie by that name ! 😀

      I know ! I know ! and I second my reply to Smitha ! 😀

  10. January 17, 2011 11:10 pm

Sum up of 2010 ka music and no mention of Dabbang? This post doesn’t deserve a comment (delete this one after reading it :p) and don’t play ‘your blog your choice card’ because it sucks :p huh! Huh! Huh! And by ‘it’ I mean both your choice & the your excuse :p

    • January 18, 2011 8:03 am

Wait, lemme give you a diplomatic answer this time for the omission of Dabangg from the Hindi list ! “There were better and deserving albums and the exclusion of Dabangg is just natural” 😀 😀 😀

  11. January 18, 2011 12:25 am

You really think people are going to look through each and every one of those names???? 😐

    • January 18, 2011 2:59 am

Ash… me does for Tamil songs 😀 😀

      • January 18, 2011 9:53 am

ONLY for Tamil songs 😛 Kindly note!!!

        • January 19, 2011 6:37 pm

Others I don’t understand na.. quite difficult to get the feel of song Ash.. 🙂 there are few exceptions though…

    • January 18, 2011 8:05 am

Kanagu bro, thanks ! you just saved me from giving Ash an explanation ! 😀 😀 😀

    • January 18, 2011 12:15 pm

Well well i for sure read the hindi ones. And dear somethings are written for passion irrespective of the fact that whether it would be read or not or it would fetch comments or not. Because if he goes by that he shouldn’t be posting songs also as half the time ppl say ‘will listen from home & comment’. And wouldn’t we miss his awesome songs?

  12. January 18, 2011 2:20 am

will there be a V-mphony of any, few or all of these songs??

I must compliment you for the Ae ajnabi (tamil version) that you’ve attempted. I had never heard the Tamil version of the song before. after visting your page I checked it on the web…Mate, i tell you , I like ur version better than the original tamil singer. Your version sounded like Sonu singing in tamil. Well done!!

    • January 18, 2011 8:08 am

I do have plans to sing some of the songs mentioned here, and if they come out well, I will upload them and torture you guys again ! 😀 😀 😀

Thanks a lot for listening. Those were my initial efforts in recording, if I am not wrong, my third or fourth song, back in 2008. Its time I uploaded a song, dont you think?? Hmmm….

  13. January 18, 2011 12:52 pm

As usual, I didnt know half the songs, no…no…most of the songs ….have been very bad in catching up to interesting song tunes. Actually, instead of compiling a list like this, when u are bored totally or totally out of brain material for a post, why dont u start putting up one-liners (now that u are in FB), on which song you like on a particular day…that’ll help me listen to that song immediately !!! I wont be looking blank for a post like this, next time. What do u say ???? 🙂 🙂

Dont forget to put up the youtube links too…. 😉

    • January 18, 2011 8:01 pm

you arent alone Uma. Nobody here is updated with the latest songs ! 😀 😀

yup, can do that; but the issue is I cant come up with one single for a day ! 😀 😀 😀

  14. January 18, 2011 5:29 pm

Thank god Anjaana Anjaani appeared in your list… 🙂
    Aisha was another wonderful album…
You did not include Sheila n Munni in your One song wonders….??

    • January 18, 2011 7:06 pm

That’s what Tanishka he liked neither Munni nor Sheila & he still says he likes women 😀

    • January 18, 2011 8:00 pm

They are good songs, no doubt. But I liked the ones I mentioned more 😀 😀 and of course, IMHO, they are better songs ! 😀

@ Smita : One always looked like a horse and the other looks like a squeezed tomato; nope, I dont like Munni or Sheila ! But when did I ever say I like women ? 😀 😀 😀

  15. January 19, 2011 6:54 pm

Didn’t you include ‘sheila ki jawani’?! or ‘munni badnaam hui’! Katrina and ‘munni’ (forgot the name) are like machines…but the songs have got rhythm and remind us of some old songs and that is the trick for them to click like this!

I like Ishquiya songs, nearly all of them are good. Anjaane anjaani songs are good. Karthik calling Karthik – a couple of songs are good.

Vinnaiththaandi varuvaaya – nearly all the songs are good. Enthiran…just one song, Man madan ambu…just one song!

I never knew that so many songs of Yuvan shakar raja are melodious…’super singers’ sing many of his songs!

Many of the songs you have listed were sung in talent shows, so now I am familiar with new songs too!

    Thanks for the list!

  16. January 20, 2011 12:42 pm

A very useful list (for me!)! 🙂

        Truly awesome, magical!

  18. January 22, 2011 11:48 am

As usual, I don’t know majority of the songs 😦 But thanks for these recommendations

  19. January 23, 2011 1:43 pm

I liked Ibn batuta from Ishqiya too. Last year somehow, I feel musically it has been quite a non-happening( for hindi music at least). Cant seem to remember any song that stood out for me :(.

So when are we going to have the V-mphony page reactivated?? C’mon Vimmoos, get crooning :D.

  20. January 27, 2011 2:07 am

    oye …

    happy new year !!!

    i am still not on FB 😀 :D: D 😀 😀

btw, i liked ‘Thambikku Endha Ooru” also ….

  22. February 2, 2011 5:27 am

Oh god! I don’t know most of these songs, except Endhiran, and a few hit tamil movies!
Looks like I’m missing a lot of good tunes! Thanks for sharing them Vimmu…
    Will check them in youtube…

  23. February 14, 2011 8:17 am

  26. February 19, 2011 3:56 pm

You have taken some weird resolution of not blogging or what…. 👿
After every post you want to go on a break…. But don’t you think this time the break has been elongated a bit too much….
When are you going to post….???
